Privacy Policy

Welcome to Blooming Sprouts, operated by Bennett & Bloom LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). We operate a homeschool preschool activity-planning and progress-tracking web application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and web application.

1. Adult-Only Platform and Children's Data

Blooming Sprouts is strictly intended for use by adults (parents and guardians) aged 18 and older. Children do not create their own accounts and do not directly access or use the app themselves. We do not knowingly solicit or collect data directly from children. Adult users may input minimal child profile data to personalize their planning dashboard, limited to: a child's nickname, age range, chosen avatar icon, and interests. This data is provided exclusively by the adult account holder, is used only to run the app for that family, and is never used for marketing, profiling, or behavioral advertising. 2. Information We Collect from Adults

To provide our service, we collect information you voluntarily provide when creating an account or subscribing to Premium: your account email, and — if you upgrade — billing information processed through our payment provider (see Section 5).

3. Age Verification

To confirm eligibility, we ask for your date of birth when you create an account. We use this only to verify you are 18 or older at the moment of signup — we do not store, retain, or log your actual date of birth anywhere. Only a confirmation that you passed this check, and the date it occurred, is kept on your account.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics (via Firebase) to understand how people use the app in aggregate — things like which pages are visited and how often. This data is not tied to your name or used to identify you individually for marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Payment Processing via Stripe

All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store or have access to your full card number or security code — that information goes directly to Stripe, governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

6. Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase and Cloud Firestore. Firestore security rules restrict access so that each account can only read or write its own data — never anyone else's. We do not store your password ourselves; sign-in is handled directly by Firebase Authentication.

7. Data Retention and Your Rights

We keep your account and child profile data for as long as your account exists. You can edit or delete a child's profile at any time from the Profiles page. You can permanently delete your entire account — including all child profiles, schedules, and progress — using the "Delete my account" option in Account settings. This deletion happens immediately, with no grace period or delay, and cannot be recovered afterward. Billing records tied to any past subscription are retained separately by Stripe, our payment processor, as required for financial and legal purposes, even after your account is deleted. 8. Global Privacy Rights

Regardless of your location, you have the right to access, update, correct, or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you and your child's profile, at any time, using the methods described in Section 7.
